I am Karen

Hi there!

Born and raised in Illinois, life eventually took me out to Maryland where I lived for 20 years and this was where my love for photography began in 2013. I started building my clientel there, however, in 2017 I found my way back to Illinois near my family. A nurse by trade, I began travel nursing in 2019 which led me to Thief River Falls, MN in 2020. The traveling has made it quite challenging for me to pursue my true passion, nevertheless, the desire remains within me to create beautiful images, providing you with keepsakes of the special moments in your lives. I began with natural light photography and eventually obtained lighting and studio equipment for indoor shoots. I have an extensive and ever growing collection of back drops and props for your session. I have always felt that great portraits should be affordable for all, so say "cheese" without spending a lot of cheddar!
